Reed and Cami have known each other since childhood, and have been inseparable for just as long. The feelings are mutual between them, ones of security, friendship, like, love. There’s a constant need to around one another.

When Cami disappears, it tips Reed’s world onto its side. While she existed under the strict rules of a cult, he simply existed, ghosting through life because his soulmate was gone.

But he never lost hope that he would find her.

I think the story could’ve used more insight on the cult. Not a huge backstory but more about its purpose, Cami’s day-to-day life, how much her dad changed from their arrival to his death. I would’ve liked more of that.

Most of Ms. Riley’s book are insta-everything. They center around a possessive man brought to their knees by the perfect woman and their relationship is a whirlwind of lust, sex, and love. This story, however, is incredibly sweet, softening the in-your-face effect insta-romances tend to have. All of that insta stuff was still there but it wasn’t as prevalent as it is in other stories.

Ringing in the New Year edition by Alexa Riley Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

I absolutely loved reading my arc copy of Ringing in the new year by
Alexa Riley. This book was amazing and i loved every minute of reading
it. It was sweet and exciting with plenty if heat. The characters were
wonderfully written with a beautiful connection between them. This
is a definite must read that would be an absolute shame to miss out
on.
Oh my! Say it's not over! It can't be over. I need more Reed and Cami.

I absolutely loved this book. It's not the usual Alexa Riley book. This one starts when they are really, really young. Fast forward 5 years and you have the most perfect blend of happiness you'll ever find. There's no insta-love, which is fine. But this one actually takes its time. It's a slow burn that is quite intense and most definitely one not to be missed. I am so in love with Reed and Cami, though her dad called her Camibell, which I love the name. Their chemistry was off the hook and it smoldered like wildfire! The only downfall for me was they only had one intimate moment. But their relationship was rock solid and most definitely all consuming. I can't say enough about this book, except this one is not to be missed. I sincerely loved it. Way to go Alexa Riley. You rock.

Best quote- "There's never been a day of my life since I met you that I haven't noticed you". Can you say swoon worthy?????
This book is a little different than a typical AR book because these two already knew each other, since they were kids. This is probably one of the sweetest books this duo has ever written, and it really brought out a lot of emotions.

Reed knew in second grade that Cami was going to be his forever. She was so different from all the other girls, and he knew she was the one. Things were going good for both Reed and Cami. They were getting ready for prom, and both of them had planned on finally giving in to temptation, but then everything changes. Cami is gone, and Reed is a mess, but he vows to never give up looking for her.

Five long years later, Cami finally escapes the hell she has been trapped in. She just wants to forget her past, and Reed is right there to pick up right where they left off.

God, this book is so super sweet, and also emotional at the same time. I loved how the story went from past to present, so I could see the relationship between these two build. The chemistry was off the charts, and I just couldn’t get enough.
An enchanting storyline plus very likable romantic couple makes RINGING IN THE NEW YEAR constantly captivating. Alexa Riley pours much heart into every scene, where reactions of the realistic characters are always conceivable. I was immediately drawn into the lives of two individuals whose lives are filled with believable developments.

Even when Reed Sanders was only in the second grade, the new girl had grabbed his notice from the instant they met. He paid her lots of attention and even gave her a special gift. Though he thought their friendship would turn into an even closer connection as they got older, she disappeared without any warning and he was devastated. Reed continues to hope for a miracle and that Cami will return one day.

This story left me with such heartfelt feelings, as every scene touched me in some profound way. From the delightful behavior of young children to the more mature responses of young adults, I was pulled into what Reed and Cami experienced at any age. The sentiments expressed by these two are always very intense, and let me get plenty of insight into their inner thoughts and any genuine wishes. There was never a time when a scene did not come across as an event which could actually occur, as Alexa Riley had each set of circumstances being depicted as so true-to-life. RINGING IN THE NEW YEAR will long be remembered. Rating - 4.5 Stars
The day Cami moved in next door Reed decided he would be her protector because there was just something about being around her that puts him at ease. And the older they get, the more possessive and protective he is of her and he just knows that when they get older, he will marry Cami. His parents loves Cami and treats her like she is their own daughter and he notices that her father tends to ignore her and doesn't really have much time for her. But he and his parents will shower her with all the love she needs and more.

Cami only has her father for family but ever since they relocated and her father started working for Reeds parents, her life has turned around for the better and she does not feel alone any more. Every turn she turned Reed was always there looking out for her and it did not matter how much his friends tried to get him to play with them, he always refuses, opting to watch me instead. So with Reed around she always feel safe andthe older they get is the more she falls in love with him and crave starting a family together. But then her dad disappeared with her and she had no way of contacting anyone and getting a message to Reed.
